We’re only a few months away from the cinema release of Jordan Peele‘s mysterious sci-fi possibly horror film, Nope. Like his previous films that synopsis is still very much under wraps, it hasn’t stopped Universal Pictures teasing us about that upcoming film.

Over the weekend in the U.S, Universal released a new TV Spot  which stars Golden State Warriors  Superstar Steph Curry. The promo itself doesn’t reveal very much apart from the NBA player, playing hoops only for the power to go out. Only to go outside to look up and to say ‘Nope!‘, as we can guess a lot of of the small town that’s getting ‘invaded’. If this film is an alien invasion, going by previous Peele films don’t expect a straight forward sci-fi…

“What’s a bad miracle?”

Oscar® winner Jordan Peele disrupted and redefined modern horror with Get Out and then Us. Now, he reimagines the summer movie with a new pop nightmare: the expansive horror epic, Nope.

The film reunites Peele with Oscar® winner Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out, Judas and the Black Messiah), who is joined by Keke Palmer (Hustlers, Alice) and Oscar® nominee Steven Yeun (Minari, Okja) as residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.

The rest of the cast includes  Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yuen, Barbie Ferreira, Michael Wincott, Donna Mills, Brandon Perea and Terry Notary.

Nope is still scheduled for release in the UK and Ireland as well as U.S cinemas from 22nd July.
