The truth will always surface and that is true in the first look trailer for Apple TV+ Dystopian series, Silo starring Rebecca Ferguson.

The 10-episode sci-fi drama series is based on Hugh Howey’s post-apocalyptic trilogy, which includes “Wool,” “Shift,” and “Dust.” Screenwriter Graham Yost, known for his work on “Band of Brothers,” will serve as the showrunner, and Morten Tyldum, who directed The Imitation Game, will direct the series.

In Silo, we find ourselves living in a future several years after a catastrophic event. The air outside is too toxic to breathe, and the last few thousand people alive live deep underground. Julie (played by Ferguson) seeks answers as to why the facility they are in was built. However, those who have asked before are now dead… Will the truth kill you?

The trailer teases that no one who lives in the silos actually knows who created them. There are a lot of mysteries to be solved, and tensions are constantly rising as well. What is a lie? What is the truth?

Silo is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and any who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer, who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.

The series also stars Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, Iain Glenn and Tim Robbins.

Silo will premiere on Apple TV+ from Friday 5th May globally.
