Rebellions Need Heroes In Andor Full Trailer

Any excuse to go back to that Galaxy far, far away, we’re onboard. Rogue One was probably the best of the spin-off and now the prequel now has a series  Andor. 

Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor, the rebel spy.  And in this new official trailer, rebellions need heroes! This series is set five years before the events of Rogue One. Cassian is finding his feet in the world as the rebellion takes it’s first steps against the Empire.

When talk of these spin-off films an series, there was a sense of excitement as Lucasfilm took us back to the days before the original 1977 original. Andor off course goes further back picking up the dark tone of Rogue OneTony Gilroy (Nightcrawler) is directing and it looks like he has created a visual treat. A gritty story, a few epic battles enough to keep any Star Wars fans smiling from start to finish.

After several Star Wars spin-off series on Disney+, many stumbling across the finishing line. Many fans questioned if we need a series about this character, after you watch this new promo sums it up. This looks great!

The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

The series will also star Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw and Kyle Soller. We can now confirm Luna will be joined by Forest Whitaker returning as Clone Wars veteran Saw Gerrera. He was also in Rogue One.

Andor will be 12 episodes long and you can watch the first episode on Disney+ from 21st September.
