This four part series is based on Josephine Hart’s novel Damage. starring Charlie Murphy (Halo, Peaky Blinders) as Anna Barton, Richard Armitage (The Hobbit, Stay Close, The Stranger) as William Farrow.

This British erotic drama thriller is all about when a doctor (Armitage) gets involved in a intense affair with his son’s fiancée (Murphy). As ever with affairs, things get out of control leading to devastating consequences for everyone involved.

After 50 Shades Of Grey, there seems to be a rise of erotic drama-thrillers on the streaming services. Netflix have unearthed a fair share with 365 Days the most notable, are we heading back to 1990’s with a resurgence? If they are here’s hoping they are a lot better than the trash that’s gone before…

An intense affair between a talented surgeon (Richard Armitage) and his son’s fiancée (Charlie Murphy) spirals into a dangerous, all-consuming obsession, with devastating consequences for the whole family.

Obsession also stars Indira Varma (This Way Up, Obi Wan Kenobi) as William’s wife, Ingrid Farrow, Rish Shah (Ms. Marvel, Strangers) as Anna’s fiance Jay Farrow, Pippa Bennett-Warner (Chloe, Gangs of London), as Anna’s best friend, Peggy, Sonera Angel (Red Velvet Revolution) as Sally Farrow, Anil Goutam (Andor) as Ingrid’s father, Edward and Marion Bailey (The Crown) as Anna’s mother, Elizabeth.
