Sunday Short Theatre – Sunday Poem (2021)

Everyone has suffered a loss, if not we will it’s life no matter how much we hate it. In this week’s Sunday Short Theatre Choice, Sunday Poem a young woman’s life is falling part due to loss.

This week’s short film comes from Swiss filmmaker Aaron Markus Graf. The 20 minute film is all about Salomé, she lives in fear. Not fear in sense of her life is in danger but unaware of her full potential. All thanks to an event in her past that still haunts her as our her world falls apart around her.

Loss affects everyone deals with that loss in many ways plus that loss is different too. No one will truly understand that pain that everyone carries inside them. Life will unravel when you don’t face that pain or take any help we may get leading to frustration and anger.

Salomé is afraid that she does not know her limits. The reason for this is an event from her past that haunts her to this day. When it comes to a quarrel with her boyfriend, she shows a previously unknown side. A side that will only cause him grief and pain. Salomé is caught up with her past and the situation reaches a peak.

The film stars Benjamin Merz, Laura Farisè, Martina Fähndrich and Luca Wismer.
