Bong Joon-Ho’s Parasite Gets A UK Trailer

Very few World Cinema films these days get considered ‘must-see’ films. Bong Joon-Ho‘s Parasite is one of those films, early next year we will finally see it for ourselves.

Today Curzon Artificial Eye have released the UK Trailer. A black comedy about wealth, greed and class discrimination. Sadly greed and class that resonates in this country and in politics especially. The film’s name seems to be connected the wealthy family, but nothing in this film seems to be straightforward. Twisted, satirical and promises to under your skin.

Parasite is a satirical tense film that follows two families. One family impoverished (Kim), the other (Park) is wealthy and living a comfortable life. When the son from the Kim family gets a job with Parks, his streetwise family start to the ‘con’.

The film has come with a lot of hype after winning the Palme d’Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. Thanks to the wonderful reviews that have followed the film are basically selling film. It also seems to be a film you should also go into knowing very little about too. The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, is one film that comes to mind, sign us up for this one!

Winner of the Palme d’Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. Bong Joon-ho (‘Snowpiercer’ ‘Okja’) returns with this black comedy about wealth, greed and class discrimination. Kim Ki-teak’s (Song Kang-ho) family are all unemployed and living in a squalid basement. When his son gets a tutoring job at the lavish home of the Park family, the Kim family’s luck changes.

One by one they gradually infiltrate the wealthy Park’s home, attempting to take over their affluent lifestyle.

The film stars Song Kang-ho,Jang Hye-jin, Park So-dam, Choi Woo-shik, Lee Sun-kyun and Jo Yeo-jeong.

Parasite will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 7th February 2020.
